Damian Schwartz in Madrid

Damián Schwartz is a mixing and mastering engineer, producer, and composer based in Madrid. Since the early 2000s he has worked across a wide range of formats and disciplines — from underground electronic music to contemporary art, film, and commercial sound design.

He began his career as a producer and live performer, becoming one of the first Spanish artists to build a sustained international presence in the European electronic scene. He has performed at Berghain / Panorama Bar, Rex Club Paris, Fabric London, Nitsa, and Sónar Festival, and has released over 30 records under his own name and various aliases.

In parallel, he has developed a career as a mixing and mastering engineer, working with independent labels and artists including Ergo Pro, Glitterbeat Records, Lovemonk, 2 Headed Deer, and Bart Davenport. His work spans vinyl pre-mastering, album post-production, film, and branded content.

He is currently restoring a Scully 601 vinyl cutting lathe, with plans to offer in-house lacquer cutting at Lyrebird Sound.
